Position Summary
This role provides team leadership to the Procurement team for both Production parts and spare parts, ensuring “best in class” material availability.
Key Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to excel at the following job responsibilities:
- Balancing the material demands with proper stock levels, ensuring the highest OTIF and shortest possible lead times towards our customers while minimizing stock value
- Rigid follow-up of reports that trigger material demands, export support, overdue, material re-scheduling, item creation, etc.
- Liaises with customer service, expedition, Operations, Warehouse, Finance and Engineering where needed to provide a swift customer centric response on Procurement related topics to ensure maximum service towards our customers
- Active role in forecasting and planning of our products and supply chain
- Control and send out reports/KPIs – on agreed frequency - that shows the performance of the team and take actions based on this
- Participates in selection, development and evaluation of team members to ensure efficient operation of function
- Work with product and program managers to ensure that requests of new option/products/parts are implemented from a procurement point-of-view fast and correct
- Actively work with Sourcing to achieve PPV-targets; balancing between the lowest possible cost for the purchased parts and supplies against the optimum quality and schedule needs
- Purchase Order (PO) maintenance associated with ordering, expediting, distribution, pricing, approvals and record keeping. Ensure purchasing records are current and up to date in accordance with company policy, compliance rules and ISO documented standards
- Provide relevant LTSDs, COO, HS-code information where items are related to export orders
Experience and Qualifications
- Degree qualified or able to demonstrate suitable relevant experience
- Excellent working knowledge and ability to use office automation software including, but not limited to, Excel, Word, Power Point
- Thorough working knowledge of ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Business Central)
- Good knowledge and application of Procurement management strategies and concepts
- English language required (a second language preferred, e.g. German or French)
- Direct people leadership experience of at least 2 years preferred
- Experience working with productivity and methodology tools that increase departmental efficiency and effectiveness
