Position Summary:  

Responsible for providing daily HR leadership in the areas of employee relations, performance management, and training and development for our three Malema sites (Florida, California and India) and 77 employees. The HR Manager will partner with the leadership team to execute the strategic human resource plan that supports the needs and priorities of the business and drive proactive, strategic, forward-thinking solutions to employee and organizational issues.

 

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, HR expertise and coaching to managers and employees with specific focus on: employee engagement, employee relations management, performance management, compensation, benefits, organizational development, career development and talent assessment, and retention
  • Provide employees and managers with an available first point of contact for questions and guidance on HR topics and issues
  • Oversee the accuracy and processing of payroll (bi-weekly)
  • Build credible and trusting relationships with employee populations to help facilitate effective employee communications and relations
  • Ensure that all employee relations issues are properly identified, reported & resolved
  • Provide advice and counsel to managers and employees to ensure consistent application and integration of policies, procedures and practices at 100% compliance to promote an ethical and compliant work environment
  • Lead key HR processes including talent review, compensation planning for all 3 locations
  • Assist with other HR special projects or initiatives as needed
  • Lead other site-wide HR projects as necessary, across the 3 sites
  • Talent Champion, helping to attract, develop, engage and retain the world's best talent
  • Organizational coach, who supports and enables change, builds organizational capabilities and reduces complexity
  • Contribute to the business by helping identify, prioritize, and build organizational capabilities, behaviours, structures, and processes

 

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelors’ degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Industrial Psychology or related field.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
  • The position will be based in Boca Raton, Florida.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present, influence and collaborate at the leadership level.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive HR processes and to deliver high quality HR services in a fast paced, high change environment.
  • Strong skills at building relationships with various levels in an organization.
  • Strong facilitation, influencing and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

  • Domestic mobility (i.e. ability to relocate domestically for future assignments).
  • Preferred experience with SAP Success Factors.
  • Preferred experience with ADP HRB and ADP Time & Attendance.

Physical Requirements and Work Conditions:

  • Must be able to perform the following physical activities: standing, walking, sitting, kneeling, bending, lifting, carrying, balancing, stooping, reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing.
  • Must be able to move around obstructions such as boxes, chairs, desks, office equipment and other related items that may be on the floor, move around airports, in and out of airplanes or other approved means of transportation.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing shop and climate-controlled office environment as job duties require.  May be exposed to loud operating machinery and cold or hot temperatures.
