The Role

 

The OEM Sales Manager South Europe, reporting to Zone Sales Director, will take responsibility for leading the OEM sales team (IT, ES) strategically driving the agenda through strong sales planning, training, coaching, and influencing.

 

 

What you’ll do

 

• Working with the Zone Director to gain a clear understanding of company strategy and implement this within the Zone OEM sales team

• Supporting the Zone Director in establishing sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for channels and territories; projecting expected sales volume for existing and new products

• Supports the creation of a business plan for each individual OEM account and salesperson, ensuring that we focus on core customers, prospects, and applications

• Actively involved leading, coaching, mentoring, developing the OEM sales team and ensuring that performance management is consistently and effectively applied

• Ensures the implementation and follow up of national sales programs supporting the field sales roll out and action plans

• Maintains sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors

• Reports market trends and market needs back to the product divisions to influence product and solution development

• Involved in the recruiting, selecting, orienting, and supporting the training of employees

• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies

 

 

 

 

What you need to have

 

• Ideally degree educated with 3+ years’ experience in a Sales Manager role within a global/ multinational technology-based company with complex B2B interactions (not service industry)

• Record of consistently strong sales management performance; achieving objectives through the team

• Prior experience with long sales cycles (6-18 months)

• Strong interpersonal skills allied to a numerical dexterity

• Experience in managing in a matrix organization

• Ideally experience in a multi-channel sales organization

• Prior experience in partnering directly with different client audiences

• Experience in developing and managing budgets (P&L)
