Project Pre-Sales Engineer - North Italy

The Role

 

At the crossroads between technical and commercial areas, you will report to the Presales Manager. Thanks to your technical expertise, you will provide support to the commercial and technical teams, in line with Markem-Imaje's strategy.

 

 

What you will do:

 

  • Provide technical support to the Sales Teams on customer-tailored projects, multi technologies, multi sites, mechanical and software integration (hands-on, piloting, etc…)
  • Propose appropriate solutions between Markem-Imaje's strategy and the end customer's needs
  • Convince the customer to choose the appropriate solution and ensure the quality of the implementation of the solution
  • Manage Projects from the Pre-Sales stage through to acceptance feasibility, technical specification, planning, implementation and acceptance
  • Formalize and explain specific customer requests with a view to potential product developments
  • In the case of cross-boarder projects, handle the documentation sharing with other Markem-Imaje entities

 

 

What you need to have:

 

  • You have at least 5 years' experience in managing/coordinating multiple projects B2B in an industrial environment
  • Strong technical knowledge and skills, ideally on coding applications and complex integration of company’s products onto a production/packaging line
  • Solid skills to plan and prioritize multiple activities and commitments through effective time management and proper preparations prior to delivering presales support services
  • Frequent travel is expected, company car included in the package. Some presence on the Markem-Imaje site is required (training, company spirit, workshops, etc…)
  • You have a technical background, ideally in automation (Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering)
  • Commercially savvy and solid interpersonal and customer relationship management skills. Proven ability to share knowledge for diverse audiences of varying size, be able to negotiate and manage conflict
  • Self-driven with the will to learn, proactive, team player and committed to follow company core values and to represent the company in a professional image to customers
  • Strong communication, analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Autonomy, strong resistance and rigor are all assets that will enable you to succeed in this position.
  • Your leadership skills will enable you to manage deadlines and the quality of services, as well as to optimize costs.
  • Fluent Italian and English required (Spanish/French could be a plus)
