Field Service Engineer - Clean Energy Systems (m/f/d)

At LIQAL, part of Dover Fueling Solutions, you will work on innovative LNG and CNG installations and other alternative fuel systems. We are looking for a Technical Support Engineer who will support our customers, both remotely and on-site, and help take our projects to the next level.

Your Role

In this role, you will be the point of contact for technical support and you will participate in testing, commissioning and optimising our installations. You ensure that all systems work safely, correctly and efficiently. With your expertise, you solve malfunctions, guide customers, and think along about improvements in our processes and products.
You will work closely with various teams within LIQAL, suppliers and customers at home and abroad.

No two days are the same – one day you are training a service partner, the next day you are on site to deliver a new installation.

What You’ll Do

• Provide hands-on technical support to customers both remotely and on-site.
• Commission and validate new LNG and CNG fueling systems.
• Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) to ensure compliance and quality.
• Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve technical issues before, during, and after system delivery.
• Prepare technical documentation, field reports, and service manuals.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, and Project Management teams, as well as external suppliers.
• Deliver training sessions for distributors, service engineers, and partners.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and share insights for product and process optimization.
• Perform short business trips within the EU and occasionally to the UK to support key projects.

What You Bring

• Technical background in mechanical or electrical systems, automation, or energy technology.
• Strong understanding of E&I systems; experience with P&ID diagrams is a plus.
• Experience with commissioning, maintenance, or technical service of industrial installations.
• Fluent in English and Dutch (additional European languages are a plus).
• Analytical mindset and excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Self-reliant, well-organized, and hands-on attitude.
• Willingness to travel internationally for short periods.
