Field Service Planner

 

Your Role:

  • You are the linchpin between planning, maintenance, and execution.
  • You manage the full scope of service planning and coordination for maintenance activities on-site at customer locations ensuring our installations remain reliable, safe, and available at all times.
  • Work closely with technicians, contractors, logistics, and suppliers to ensure the right people, parts, and plans are in place for every maintenance operation.
  • Coordinate the work preparation, keeping documentation up to date, and maintain the planning system Ultimo.
  • Occasionally, you may be called to support our after-hours remote monitoring service (with additional compensation).

 

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the overall service and contractor planning for preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Coordinate the preparation of work orders: ensure required materials and tools are ready and available on time.
• Communicate directly with technicians, maintenance contractors, and suppliers to schedule work and align expectations.
• Ensure safe and efficient execution of all maintenance activities.
• Maintain and update documentation, work instructions, and technical records in the Ultimo system.
• Monitor and follow up on open service jobs in the system, ensuring timely execution and proper closure.
• Occasionally support remote troubleshooting (standby duty), monitoring alarms from installations and initiating appropriate action.

 

Your Profile

 

Education & Experience:
• MBO degree or equivalent.
• 0–5 years of administrative experience in a technical environment.
• Experience or interest in energy technologies, such as LNG or Hydrogen, is a strong plus.
• Skilled in reading technical drawings or motivated to develop this skill.

 

Skills & Competencies:
• Strong organizational and planning skills – you love structure and know how to bring order to complexity.
• Proactive and hands-on mindset – you don’t wait; you coordinate, follow up, and get things done.
• Communicative team player – you’re comfortable liaising with internal teams, suppliers, and field engineers.
• Fluent in Dutch and English – verbal and written.
• Confident using digital tools; experience with Ultimo or other CMMS is a bonus.
• Problem-solving attitude and a customer-centric approach.
