What are you going to do?

You make sure assigned equipment is scheduled correctly so all of our departments can work efficiently on building our machine. You base your scheduled equipment on changing customer demands and forecast information. You review, monitor and track shortages for assigned equipment lines. Responsibilities include creation of shop orders, planning of shop order release to the shopfloor and work with the shop floor employees to ensure that shop orders are processed in accordance with the requirements. This means that you are well known in an ERP system and are able to coordinate engineering BOMs with the processes necessary to achieve reliable and efficient manufacturing and assembly.


Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate/detailed schedule for assigned equipment
  • Understand capacity constraints by process
  • Understand ERP logic, manufacturing capabilities and limitations, to determine how capacities and lead times are calculated in the business enterprise system.
  • Work closely with Purchasing and Sales to communicate status, shortages, and ship dates
  • Complete and manage capacity analysis, and assess mid to long term capacity risk
  • Work with Sourcing to mitigate capacity issues
  • Release and update internal work orders and react to exception messages
  • Promote continuous improvement methods relative to scheduling/planning

 

Who are you:

You have a minimum of 5 years experience in assembly operations. You have a bachelor degree in a relevant technical field. You have a thorough understanding of ERP systems (we work with IFS), shop-order structures, BOMs, material flow and assembly routers. Furthermore a APICS/CPIM certification would be desirable.
