Summary/Objective:
The Distribution Logistics Manager will be responsible for leading the efficient and accurate receiving, movement, storage, and shipping of component and finished goods within the distribution center. Through strategic management and hands-on leadership, this position instills a culture of continuous improvement and delivers cost and productivity improvements through applying strong analytical and problem-solving skills and utilizing best distribution practices.
Essential Job Functions:
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Work with Sr. Director of Operations to set the strategic goals and vision of distribution and outbound logistics.
- Responsible for all aspects of distribution, including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, cycle counts, and aspects of trade compliance.
- Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules and expedite workflow.
- Identify, design, develop and implement flexible solutions to aid business efficiency, drive process improvements, and improve value add of the distribution center.
- Assign duties and examine work for conformance to policies and procedures.
- Maintain high level of 6S in the distribution center to ensure all parts are stored safely and orderly
- Develop and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for warehouse processes; utilize KPIs to identify opportunities then develop and execute improvement plans
- Ensure proper labeling of material, racking, containers, and storage locations as required
- Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of workers.
- Maintain harmony among workers and resolve grievances.
- Interview and hire new employees.
- Confer with other managers outside of the distribution center to ensure coordination of other functions such as production, material flow, inventory management and quality assurance.
- Ensure correct shipment of international orders and hazardous material orders.
- Maintain world class inventory accuracies through process improvement and root cause problem solving.
- Identify employees’ skills and develop them by coaching and counseling employees on a regular basis.
- Conduct annual performance reviews and provide continual feedback on both positive and negative performance.
- Implement and maintain a Warehouse Management system to optimize inventory control and warehouse processes.

Supervisory Responsibility:
· This position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department.
Work Environment:
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to high volume powered industrial vehicle traffic, and potential weather extremes. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be periodically loud.

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to wear all require personal protective equipment.
Travel:
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or logistics is desired but will consider work experience in lieu of degree.
- 10 years of experience managing a large staff, including responsibility for hiring, terminating and performance appraisals.
- Strong understanding of shipping, receiving, customer fulfillment and inventory optimization levels.
- Knowledge of Scanning Systems/RF Guns – Mobile Aps Highly Desired.
- Proficient in Excel, Work, Outlook.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations
- Experience navigating an ERP system is required; proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems is preferred.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, effective communicator at all organizational levels.
- Highly organized, good attention to detail, capable of multi-tasking and following through on tasks to completion.
- Possess strong communication skills (both written and verbal), able to interact with all stakeholders and act as a professional representative of the corporation.
- Eagerness to operate in a dynamic fast paced environment with an ability to problem solve and drive change.

Work Arrangement : Onsite
Pay Range: $90,000.00 - $109,000.00 [per hour / annually]
