REPORTING TO: Senior Manager, Continuous Improvement  

LOCATION: Cebu, Philippines 

 

Summary Description: 

 

DBS is seeking a talented leader for our Continuous Improvement team.  Reporting to the Senior Manager, Continuous Improvement, the PIPE Manager is responsible for fostering and achieving a continuous improvement culture within DBS.  The role is primarily responsible for leading the DBS Process Improvement and Performance Excellence (PIPE) program to drive optimization, efficiency, effectiveness, and cost reduction in DBS finance and accounting processes to improve business results and deliver world-class, customer-focused services to Dover’s Operating Companies (OpCos).  The role is also responsible for developing future Lean Six Sigma leaders and collaborating with DBS leaders and other key stakeholders on continuous improvement projects, including leading select projects.   

 

This role partners with and is responsible for maintaining close working relationships with DBS leaders.  Effectively communicating, partnering, and presenting complex topics to these key stakeholders is critical to the success of the role.

Essential Responsibilities 

 

  • Foster a continuous improvement mindset by successfully leading a global PIPE program  

  • Design and operate PIPE program to capture improvement ideas, select impactful projects, and support project implementation 

  • Assess and report PIPE program health, including improvement recommendations, and gather and report project updates to DBS leadership, including benefits realized  

  • For projects selected: 

  • Ensure projects selected align with DBS strategy and business objectives and have clearly defined and achievable benefits, are technically feasible, and are aligned with Global Process Owner and DBS standards 

  • Define project scope and objectives, develop detailed project plans and ensure resource availability, achieve key milestones and identify project issues and risks and develop mitigation plans, and provide project updates to DBS leaders 

  • Ensure projects are delivered on time within the approved scope and budget and measure and communicate benefits realized to stakeholders 

  • Establish a global training program delivering Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement training for all DBS sites, including root cause analysis, value stream mapping, quality tools, etc.  

  • Sponsor and support achievement of Lean Six Sigma certifications (Yellow, Green, Black belt) by DBS resources at all DBS sites 

  • Project Management: Implement project management best practices, templates, etc., monitor dependencies across multiple interrelated projects, gather and report consolidated project status and financial information to leadership, identify project risks and work with the stakeholders to mitigate while communicating with leadership 

  • Relationship building: Engage with key stakeholder groups within DBS as a key business partner 

  • Lead change management and communication efforts for projects 

  • Conceive and implement improvement opportunities which reduce costs and improve process value. Consistently promote integration of best practices and leading trends 

  • Collaborate with DBS Transformation Hub and DBS Operations to analyze issues reported by DBS customers and propose projects or other recommendations to address issues going forward 

 

 

Qualifications 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Financial Information Systems 

  • 10+ years corporate accounting and/or financial analysis experience 

  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) 

  • Global shared service center experience 

  • Strong project management skills, including managing multiple deliverables simultaneously and demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and accomplish results 

  • Strong communication skills, including experience influencing others outside of own job area regarding policies, practices and procedures 

  • Prior experience successfully leading PIPE, continuous improvement, or finance transformation programs or projects 

  • Self-directed, positive, strong work ethic, linked to execution, and department vision 

  • Builds and manages collaborative relationships 

  • Demonstrates strong understanding of finance concepts, accounting processes, and financial systems knowledge  

  • Strong analytical skills: able to link financial results to operational performance drivers – and use data to drive decisions and strategic direction  

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists  

  • High level of customer focus 

  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office products  

 

Highly Preferred 

 

  • Working knowledge of some of the following ERPs/ systems & applications an advantage: High Radius, Perceptive, OneStream, ServiceNow, Oracle, SAP, and Power BI 

  • Experience in teaching training modules for product(s) and process
