POSITION TITLE: SPECIALIST - HUMAN RESOURCES (Learning and Development)
REPORTING TO: Director, Human Resources
LOCATION: Cebu, Philippines
Summary:
Designs, develops, and delivers impactful training and development programs that support employee performance and organizational goals. Skilled in assessing learning needs, creating engaging onboarding and skills training, and evaluating program effectiveness through data and feedback. Partners closely with business leaders to drive employee engagement, strengthen culture, and deliver clear, compelling People Operations communications. Highly proficient in multimedia training platforms, presentation delivery, and project coordination, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities & Duties:
• Assesses training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with managers, instructors, and customer representatives.
• Creates, organizes, plans, and presents various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills training for employees and customers.
• Develops unique training programs to fulfill workers specific needs to maintain or improve job skills.
• Creates and/or acquires training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials.
• Presents training and development programs using various forms and formats including group discussion, lecture, simulations, and videos.
• Maintains records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.
• Evaluates program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback.
• Maintains knowledge of the latest trends in training and development.
• Prepares and implements training budget; maintains records and reports of expenses.
• Partner with business leaders to develop targeted employee communications and engagement plans that drive engagement, shape culture and build a connected employee community.
• Create key messaging that supports People Ops initiatives and that also reinforces DBS’s priorities and culture.
• Create a unified, informative and engaging internal branding and messaging strategy for People Operations via updates to our social media content, newsletters, videos, etc.
• Oversee key operational tasks such as weekly project status updates and maintenance of the project calendar, while ensuring that all stakeholders are kept informed.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
• Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
• Ability to design and implement effective training and development.
• Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office and related program software.
