Summary Description:

Reporting to the FP&A Team Lead, the FP&A Sr. Specialist is an instrumental part of the Dover Business Services FP&A team. This role will directly support the DII and DPPS Segment FP&A team for its financial analysis and preparation: monthly and quarterly forecast updates and analysis, measurement of key financial metrics, and strategic initiatives. In a highly visible role, the Sr. Specialist is expected to work closely with Segment and Opco FP&A site leaders globally, including the Sr. Manager of FP&A for DII and DPPS, and Segment CFO. Analysis and presentations will be regularly included in updates to the Dover executive team. This role will handle ~35% routine responsibilities, and ~65% will focus on strategic projects and analyses.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual template updates, improving the step-by-step documentation and streamline manual efforts
  • Facilitate the maintenance, distribution and improvement of standard reporting deliverables to be leveraged by the Segment FP&A team
  • Analyze and consolidate DII and DPPS monthly, quarterly, and AOP submissions, engaging with Opco FP&A teams to better understand financial and operational results
  • Lead projects supporting streamlined processes and greater analytical insights, leveraging tools such as Power BI, Power Automate, OneStream, and other tools available in O365 suite
  • Assist the Segment FP&A team in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance presentations for Dover executive review
  • Enhance technical skills becoming OneStream FP&A subject matter expert, through Dover led “Super User” training, as well as self-guided research
  • Prepare ad hoc analysis as requested by Sr. Manager, CFO, and Opco finance leaders
  • Support automation of financial analysis tasks to create capacity for additional analysis

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Management or related field preferred
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in financial planning and analysis or related skillset (e.g., business analysis, corporate finance, etc.)
  • Exceptional technical capabilities including ability to create and maintain consolidated reporting software, Excel-based analytics, and financial models/simulations
  • Demonstrates sound analytical depth in finance and/or accounting methods
  • Track record of evaluating and analyzing business opportunities and present findings in a logical way to all levels of an organization
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Employee must be an experienced user of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).  Employee must also be willing and capable of learning new systems and tools.
  • PowerBI and/or automated reporting experience is a plus
  • Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail
