The Spare Parts Specialist will possess the skills and technical abilities to drive growth and work with the department

to support product sales and the entire range of equipment in the Maag product line family. This includes pumps and

pump systems, screen changers, filtration systems, filter elements and pelletizer equipment. Responsible for helping

grow the Aftermarket Business by contacting customers to sell spare parts for both new and existing equipment.

Support Aftermarket Spare, Field Service & Repairs, proactive customer calls, provide technical support during peak

demands. Position also involves interfacing and coordination with all other departments (Project Engineering,

Application Engineering, Purchasing and Quality), as well as Sales when needed. Requires much external customer

interface and good two-way communication. Must provide support to help meet customer expectations for minimizing

plant downtime. Perform and promote teamwork, as well as being an advocate and resource for continuous



Position description – Tasks, responsibilities, competencies (List 8-10 specific tasks – start each description indicating an action e.g. leads, advises, develops etc.)

· Quote spare parts on customers request.

· Enter spare parts orders and send order conformations to customer.

· Conducts proactive calls to customers to check on possible need for spare parts, service, or training for any

Maag equipment they have purchased.

· Enter data into CAMOS after proactive calls and make sure data is accurate.

· Work with Application Engineers, Project Engineers to provide customers BOM’s and recommended spare parts

quote for new systems or pumps after the sale.

· Represents the company and collects customer feedback to feed continuous improvement opportunities.

· Assist field service technicians when they call in from the field (technical, drawings, parts, etc.).

· Other tasks as assigned by manager.

Work Environment

· Work in this position is in an office environment. There may be times when a trip to the customer site is

needed. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud and PPE may be required.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. · Occasional prolonged sitting during international commercial air travel.


Job Specification

Education (area of studies, Management, IT etc.)


· High School diploma or equivalent education (additional technical skills a plus)

· Able to read and explain manufacturing drawing, schematics and piping and instrumentation diagrams.


· Technical training or experience in a related Customer Service role

· Familiar with large rotating equipment


Professional experience (description incl. No. of years)


· Min 3 years of experience in a related Customer Service role

· Min 3 years of experience with related equipment

· Min 3 years of experience using SAP

· Min 3 years of experience using Excel, Word, Microsoft Office


· Experience in plastics processing and equipment highly desirable
