POSITION SUMMARY:

Environmental Solutions Group is searching for a Senior Director, Finance located in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This high-profile role, reporting directly to the CFO, will serve as a key member of the management team and be responsible for the financial planning and analysis function as well as other key finance functions. This role will lead the company’s forecasting and financial planning processes, including supporting the development of strategic plan updates, the annual budgeting process, monthly and quarterly rolling forecast updates, monthly and quarterly analysis and special projects. A key aspect of the position will be to provide strategic support to senior management including but not limited to preparing presentations, capital expenditure analysis and new business opportunities. This role will perform complex duties requiring advanced professional experience, leadership skills, knowledge, and competency in areas that go beyond the traditional accounting functions --- a role recognized as a ‘Business Partner’. This function acts as the analytical engine of the company to provide insights and support optimal business decision-making throughout the organization. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:

  • Lead processes to provide monthly and quarterly rolling financial forecasting and the annual operating plan for all business units and consolidated.
  • Run the Environmental Solutions Group monthly and quarterly forecasting and business review process, including review and finalization of forecast and analysis updates to corporate.
  • Enhance the processes and tools used to deliver management reporting to provide relevant, timely financial information to support decision-making, aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including revenue, cost of sales, expenses, capital expenditures, free cash flow, and other relevant areas.
  • Provide commentary and presentations of financial performance trends and root cause analysis of forecast / plan variances.
  • Continually enhance the use of business intelligence, budgeting, and reporting tools so that relevant financial information is delivered efficiently throughout the organization.
  • Assist CFO and Leadership Team with Environmental Solutions Group’s strategic planning processes and support the development of long-range strategic financial forecasts.
  • Champion working continuous working capital understanding and cash flow forecasting improvement within Environmental Solutions Group.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities for improved operations of the finance team.
  • Responsible for setting goals for finance team members and evaluating team member performance. Provide feedback to team members regarding performance through daily contact and performance evaluations.
  • Provide mentoring, leadership and development to the finance team.
  • Provide support and training for succession planning in key areas of responsibility.
  • Ad-hoc reporting, analysis, special projects and presentations.

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance required; MBA preferred.
  • CPA, CMA or other relevant designation preferred. Candidates currently working towards these designations will receive further consideration.
  • 15 plus years experience in a professional finance/business environment.
  • Business-oriented financial professional.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills, proven results orientation and ability to deliver quality, on-time results are key.
  • Significant skills in financial modeling.
  • Exercises considerable discretion and independent judgment and handles confidential information.
  • High standards of accuracy and organization.
  • Self-motivated, driven, and sense of urgency.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
