POSITION SUMMARY:

The Vice President of Supply Chain Leader will transform the supply chain organization into a strategic, forward-looking group capable of driving Enterprise-wide savings, on-time delivery, quality, and consistent, efficient internal processes. The Global Supply Chain Leader will be a trusted partner to the COO and the executive team to drive initiatives across Environmental Solutions Group – A Dover Corporation Company 

 

The Vice President of Supply Chain is responsible for establishing and building supply chain strategies, networks and execution that enable successful supply/demand planning and forecasting, sourcing and fulfillment, warehousing and logistics. The incumbent will drive improvements based on key performance indicators and enable cross-functional alignment to increase effectiveness of supply chain. The ideal candidate will be high energy, fearless, mission driven and a strong collaborator and people leader.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:

  • Lead the supply chain and logistics organization, including setting the strategic sourcing, procurement, warehousing, logistics, and ongoing measurement in support of the overall business strategy.
  • Design, develop, and implement integrated supply chain and logistics solutions that optimize quality, efficiency, sustainability, and cost.
  • Monitor and report on emerging industry trends; share insights with leadership.
  • Develop supplier partnership processes that build sustainable relationships with our supplier partners through mutual accountability delivering enhanced end-customer value. 
  • Lead the development of annual budgets across all areas of supply chain and logistics, while holding self and team accountable for delivering.
  • Lead and develop the strategic sourcing, supplier quality development, and logistics teams, including ongoing performance coaching, development plans, and training.
  • Ensure supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standards.
  • Travel is required approximately 20%.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Business or related or equivalent experience is required.  MBA preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in supply chain operations; industrial manufacturing experience a plus.
  • A strong working knowledge of supply chain principles, MRP related operations, financial analysis, business intelligence, and effective business processes across all functions.
  • Successful track record of leading teams in change management to deliver business growth.
  • Ability to build, convincingly communicate, and execute strategic and operational plans for function.
  • Foreign language skills a plus.
  • Works interdependently, cross-functionally and handles routine matters on own initiative.
  • Exercises high degree of judgment in matters related to materials, design, manufacturing, logistics and corporate compliance.
  • Frequent travel to domestic locations.  Light international travel possible.
  • Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Knowledge and understanding of regulatory principals and requirements.
  • High emotional intelligence, confidence without arrogance, and a propensity to listen first.
