The Finance Lead, Thailand is responsible for: 1) Financial Reporting and Controls of location in Thailand in coordination with the USA Accounting & Finance Team and the China Accounting & Finance Team. 2) Develop diverse financial analysis and business decision support. 3) Install appropriate Processes and Internal Controls to safeguard assets and provide timely and accurate reporting 4) Review, propose, and implement process and procedural improvements with manufacturing, Sales, and various other functional groups with a focus on leveraging the tools within our ERP system. 5) Prepare, analyze and issue various types of financial reports/results. 6) Proactively support Manufacturing, Sales, and Corporate personnel regarding operational issues, inventory management, asset management and business profitability.

 

Controlling:

• Responsible for closing the books for Thailand and generating financial statements on monthly and/or as needed basis.

• Manage preparation, processing, and analysis of their locations monthly financial results. Work closely with various personnel in reviewing the results.

• Under supervision of the Finance Controller, China, Partner with the Dover China Accounting/Finance Team on month-end, quarterly and annual reporting for their locations.

• Manage collection of Accounts Receivable and timely payment of Accounts Payable across their locations and partner with sales and operations to maintain adequate WC, DSO and DPO.

• Proactively support all functional areas and corporate personnel regarding operational issues, inventory management, asset management and business profitability.

• Accurate Cost and inventory analysis as required at their locations.

 

FP&A:

• Assist in the development of their locations annual budget.

• Preparation, coordination, and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial projections 0+12, 1+11, 2+10, 3+9 etc, AOP.

• Implement reporting process changes that monitor both financial and non-financial indicators.

 

Compliance:

• Support the efforts of the Dover China Compliance Team in establishing and maintaining compliance with all local regulations and Dover Corporate policies.

• Interface with internal & external auditors as required.

• Assist in establishing, maintaining and validating SOX procedures.

 

Other:

• Further define and optimize business needs through developing standard processes and best practices.

• Manage and support requests for Pricing, LC and Bank Guarantees

• Assist with projects and other reports as needed.

• Develop Staff and set objectives.

• Reconciliations of various general ledger accounts.

 

Key Requirements:

 

Education:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a minimum of 5 plus years’ experience in a manufacturing environment is required. Experience in developing cost standards at the work center level along with reporting various manufacturing and operational metrics is required.

• ACCA or CPA preferred.

 

Experience:

• Self-starter with the ability to work independently. Must be creative, with a can-do attitude.

• Prior Public Accounting experience in a large International Accounting Firm is required.

• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and achieve deadlines while working with changing priorities is required.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions and solve practical problems. Strong technical skills, coupled with a solid understanding of general business.

• Must be able to interact across Functional work boundaries, lead a team, and communicate effectively at all levels of an organization.

• Experience in dealing with foreign based ownership is a plus.

 

Language skills:

• Must be able to communicate in English.

 

Office skills:

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. Exposure to Access and Power Point is a plus.

• Experience with fully integrated ERP software with the ability to seek out basic system functionally that will enhance end user processes. Experience with ERP implementation is a plus.
