Summary Description: The Operations Manager provides manufacturing leadership to deliver a superior customer experience and ensure excellence in team performance including achieving safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity targets.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Implement and sustain manufacturing technologies that continuously improve operational excellence and model a lean/safety culture.
  • Lead team to achieve improve productivity, capacity utilization, delivery performance and resource utilization.
  • Provide operational training and leadership and represent a positive, enthusiastic role model to create a positive place to work. Effectively deliver communications and presentations to shop floor team members.
  • Champion employee engagement actions to support and sustain positive employee relations across operational teams.
  • Accountable for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance in assigned area and ensures team assist with proper coordination of company policies and procedures regarding compliance.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for team members
  • Responsible for design and operating effectiveness of internal controls, including a self-assessment and report to management.
  • Ensure that quality program is followed and effective in satisfying customer needs.
  • Exhibits strong leadership skills mentoring staff, evaluating employee performance, dealing with performance & behavioral issues, and hiring.
  • Participate in sales reviews and work with functional teams in order to establish priorities.
  • Keep current on new and current manufacturing techniques.



  • Minimum 10 years of industrial, operational experience with increasing responsibility including management of direct reports.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field is required. MBA beneficial.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time to support customers and business goals, domestically or internationally.
  • This position is based in the greater Cincinnati, OH region.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience directing and performing in-depth manufacturing planning, workforce planning, analysis and implementation.
  • Ability to solve problems in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while always keeping customer satisfaction at the forefront.
  • Experience with implementing and optimizing manufacturing computer systems.
  • Experience in metal products manufacturing where practices such as JIT inventory management, pull-through production, team-based organization and high levels of customer service are in place is preferred.
  • Must have Lean/Continuous experience and background.
  • Implementation of TPS or similar Rapid Improvement Team implementation is a plus.
  • Career history characterized by strong employers operating in growth environments, stability in employment and success in assignments.
  • Demonstrated previous commitment to growth and development of previous employer(s).
  • High level of manufacturing expertise and leadership.
  • Knowledge base in CNC machining, welding, and assembly.
  • Proven skill in taking firm stances on issues within the framework of a team-based culture.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of team members in a manufacturing environment.
  • Leadership/mentoring skills and prior supervisor experience desired
  • High level of customer focus and ability to maintain a positive attitude at all times.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Self-directed, positive and ethical role model able to work with minimal supervision.
