PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Oversee Plant Operations including but not limited to safety, quality, delivery inventory, cost, and productivity
  • Utilize visual management tools and 5S to support a culture of safety awareness
  • Initiate and develop best practices to achieve growth/quality improvements and cost efficiencies
  • Track, evaluate and maintain continuous improvement efforts
  • Monitor information regarding customer complaints and assist in problem resolution where needed
  • Ensure compliance with all company polices, practices and process
  • Conduct and support the performance feedback and coaching process, including and in addition to the annual performance review process.
  • Ensure team is accurately and consistently monitoring production metrics including run time
  • Manage training and development for assigned team including but not limited to new employee orientation, safety training, and cross training
  • Assure all necessary communications with all supporting functions are provided and supported.  
  • Conduct production labor planning (extended hours, overtime hours, vacation, personal time, leave of absences, etc.)
  • Oversee payroll time reporting for all production personnel
  • Other activities as defined

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have 3+ years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a manufacturing, engineering or business-related field is strongly preferred. Relative experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • A proven track record within key functional areas with measurements of on-time production, order completion, process improvement, material flow, and production efficiency.
  • Previous experience with ERP Systems with knowledge of production & scheduling
  • Demonstrated ability to handle pressure
  • Must have strong leadership skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams and others)
