OPW’s Leadership Development Program (LDP) is designed for candidates seeking a leadership career with OPW in the areas of Sales, Product Management and Marketing. Leaders in this program will contribute to our future showing how at OPW we Lead the Way in our industry. These roles are designed to develop our next generation of leadership in General Management, Product Management and Marketing and will receive the support and sponsorship of our Operating Company President as well as our VP of Global Marketing & Business Development to enable success.   The OPW Leadership and Development program is designed for future leaders who seek a results-focused organization with a passion for continuous improvement and desire to be the next generation of leaders for OPW and our parent company, Dover Corporation.


Accountabilities: The LDP Program will include a variety of training and project assignments that include working across product business units and functional groups at our manufacturing facilities and key locations. As an LDP, you will join us as a full-time employee from day one, working in a real job and delivering real results.


LDPs will be introduced to OPW by spending the first six weeks at our Global Headquarters in Cincinnati, OH. This introduction will set our Leadership Development Program employees up for success in navigating OPW, understanding the business and launching a great career. Upon completion of the first few months, program participants will be placed within an OPW location where they will complete their first eight-month assignment, training and project. This will be followed by a second eight-month rotation with ongoing training and a final capstone project prior to graduation. Available assignments and locations will be discussed prior to final placement.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Pursuing bachelor’s degree in an Engineering, Business or Marketing disciplines
  • Willing and able to relocate and travel
  • Must be a graduating senior or have graduated within the previous year
  • Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale required
  • Authorized to work in the US without additional corporate sponsorship


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Mechanical Engineers or business management degrees are preferred
  • Demonstrated passion for continuous improvement
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal communication and ability to demonstrate
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to influence and lead without authority
  • High affinity for change and dealing with ambiguity
  • High Say/Do ratio with a strong bias for delivering results
  • Demonstrated ability to act with unyielding integrity and Win the Right Way
  • Prior internship or work experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
