  • Experience as  CNC Setup Operator in Hass Mills and Lathes machinery
  • Overall goal is to produce turned parts by independently setting up and operating machinery to manufacture parts to customer specifications within company standards for safety, quality and productivity
  • Sense of urgency, yet organized and logical in problem solving
  • Strong work ethic
  • Programming skills-conversational and set-up/edit.
  • Independently and as a member of a team, maintain, troubleshoot and assist in repairing CNC machines in mechanical and pneumatic areas.
  • Ability to perform scheduled preventive maintenance
  • Must be able to read and understand mechanical and pneumatic blueprints. The ability to read and understand electrical blueprints is a plus
  • Must be capable of using measuring equipment such as dial indicators, height gauges, micrometers, etc.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as reading, writing and mathematical abilities
  • Communicate all necessary information to Management, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, other production departments and fellow employees in a professional and courteous manner
  • Complete all paperwork in a neat/legible fashion per proper procedures (routing card, tool change logs, count sheets, etc.)
  • Properly identify parts and enter production into the manufacturing information system
  • Maintain work area in a neat and orderly manner, keeping floors clean and free of oil and chips
  • Perform all safety inspections to equipment daily, use proper machine guards and lifting techniques

 

 


Qualifications/Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; trade school a plus
  • 1-3 years' Hass setup and operations experience on CNC machining equipment.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to lift 40+ lbs. throughout the day
