Job Title:        Senior Financial Analyst            

Location:        Richmond, VA             

 

What we’re looking for:

 

We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst who will perform detailed reporting and analysis to support financial planning and reporting requirements.  This individual will also analyze data to support leadership in decision making.

 

What you’ll be responsible for in this role:

 

  • Preparing weekly and monthly reporting packages which include revenue analysis, labor analysis, variance analysis, and other operational performance reports.
  • Prepare and take ownership of the monthly and annual forecasting processes.
  • Develop and maintain financial models & templates to support Dover requirements
  • Partner with the Engineering and Supply Chain functions to validate and track productivity initiatives.
  • Develop relationships with department heads to improve forecasting and cost ownership
  • Help drive business intelligence automation reports and adoption
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis as necessary

 

What are the basic qualifications?

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
  • 5 - 8 years financial analyst experience, with at least two (2) of those years working within a manufacturing environment. 

 

What are the preferred qualifications?

 

  • Previous role in Operations or Cost Accounting a plus but not required
  • Power BI, Power Query, and Hyperion experience a plus

 

To be a great fit for the role:

 

  • Strong knowledge and experience with FP&A, budgeting and forecasting
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and data-mining ability
  • Must be an experienced user of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Must also be willing and capable of learning new systems and tools (Power BI, Hyperion, and Oracle BI)
  • Exceptional organization skills and ability to handle multiple tasks
