Job Title:        Corporate Accounting Manager            

Location:        Conyers, GA             

 

 

What we’re looking for:

 

We are looking for a Corporate Accounting Manager who will be responsible for maintaining and overseeing Dover Food Retail accounting functions including financial statements, policies and controls, process and efficiency programs and assisting with financial transformation.

 

 

What you’ll be responsible for in this role:

 

  • Consolidate financial results and align with Dover Corporate requirements
  • Timely, accurate and complete financial reporting
  • Manage all aspects of the General Ledger
  • Supervise preparation of monthly journal entries and review monthly reconciliations
  • Prepare Monthly, Quarterly, and Year-end reports
  • Lead month end close, including process improvements, optimized use of centers of excellence to drive efficiency and effectiveness in reporting and close
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, research accounting issues and implement new standards
  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls and segregation of duties
  • Drive system enhancements and improvements
  • Leadership, mentoring, training & development of local controllers and accounting staff
  • Coordinate financial audits and lead standardization and improvements 
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks as necessary

 

What are the basic qualifications?

 

  • BA/BS degree in Accounting or related field
  • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant company financial accounting and reporting experience
  • 2+ years of management experience

 

What are your preferred qualifications?

 

  • CPA Preferred
  • Both public accounting and industry experience

  • Strong analytical, technological, communication and organizational skills
  • Manufacturing cost accounting experience is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and advanced Excel skills and proficient in Word and PowerPoint are desired.
