Job Title:        Director, Finance, US Systems Business

Location:        Conyers, GA

 

What we’re looking for:

 

We are looking for a Director, Finance who will guide and inspire the finance and accounting teams for the US Systems division of Dover Food Retail. The finance leader for the Systems business reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer of Dover Food Retail (DFR) and dotted line to the Managing Director for the US Systems Division.

 

The Finance Director will be responsible for oversight and delivery of the financial execution of the US Systems division P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.  In addition, this role will be responsible for Controllership, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Commercial finance matters related to the Business.  The Finance Director will also partner with the Managing Director, Operations Finance Director and the cross functional leadership team to drive strategy and support insights to drive decision making. We are looking for a high potential leader capable of driving change and working in a complex and fast paced organization. 

 

The Finance Director will communicate regularly with the senior executive team including the President & CEO of Dover Food Retail and direct staff. The ideal candidate shall have the ability to uphold a positive outlook toward change and to be eager to continually develop and learn. This role is intended to be aligned with CFO preparation for opportunities across Dover.

 

What you’ll be responsible for in this role:

 

  • Partner cross functionally with sales, human resources, product management, quality, sourcing, operations, and engineering to deliver financial results.
  • Collaborating with Managing Director and leadership to guide strategic decision-making with financial insights and analysis.
  • Coordinate the consolidation of financial budgets, forecasts, and reporting for divisional results.
  • Prepare ad hoc financial analysis in areas such as scenario planning, ROI analyses, profitability, cost reduction, and growth opportunities as needed.
  • Lead division controller and FP&A manager to drive consistency and best practices in controls and decision making.
  • Develop and maintain financial models & templates in accordance with Dover requirements.
  • Preparing the closing and forecast presentations for company CEO/CFO reviews.
  • Talent Development: Lead, mentor, and develop highly capable managers and analysts.
  • Identify areas of profitability improvement through detailed analysis by customer, product line, etc.
  • A thorough understanding of products, industry trends and regulations.

 

What are the basic qualifications?

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
  • 10-15 years’ experience in finance and accounting roles and most previously in financial / accounting management

 

What are the preferred qualifications?

 

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field preferred but not required.

  • Exceptional computer skills and aptitude managing financial systems (Hyperion, Business Intelligence, Oracle, & OneStream a plus)
  • Demonstrates sound analytical depth and technical capability in finance and/or accounting methods.
  • Successfully demonstrated ability to evaluate and analyze business opportunities and present findings in a logical way to all levels of an organization.
  • Excellent communication, decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Employee must be an experienced power user of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint), budgeting, financial reporting and general ledger software.  Employee must also be willing and capable of learning new systems and tools.
  • Proven leader with excellent interpersonal relationship skills that develops, supports, and inspires team members fostering a culture of accountability and excellence in a results-oriented work environment.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to translate business objectives into financial strategies.
  • Exceptional organization skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to drive business transformation and process improvement initiatives.
  • High level of integrity and dependability.
