SUMMARY

Plans layout, installs, and repairs wiring, troubleshooting, testing, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment by performing the following duties. Must pass electrical II test.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Plans Control Strategies,

 

Understand control strategies

Perform Electrical Troubleshooting

Inverter Wiring

Understanding of NEC Code

Perform motor wiring

Mount Probes and Transducers

Auto Transfer Switches

Wiring Generators

Wiring Lights

Tie-in Compressors

Installing Conduit

Line Conditioners

Wire Standard I-Line

Follows diagrams or blueprints ensuring wiring is installed as according to plan

Complex Panel Wirings, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduit.

Connects wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment.

Installs control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and

Assists in training Electrical I

Circuit-breaker panels.

Must Pass Electrical II test

 

 

Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.

 

Repairs faulty equipment or systems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Must have eighteen months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, or technical procedures. Ability to write reports, and procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
