Job Title:        Finance Manager, Commercial

What we are looking for:

We are looking for a Finance Manager who will provide Commercial Finance leadership to the global Dover Food Retail sales organizations.  This person will own all reporting, forecasting, and analysis in support of the Sales organization.  This person will work cross-functionally between finance, sales, pricing, and product management to understand market dynamics, business performance – and help define and support commercial strategies & enterprise pricing leadership across multiple product lines and sales channels.  Additionally, they will support the development of commissions and incentives plans for the sales team.  This person will be the finance lead for our ongoing project rolling out a SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) process across all divisions. Individual must have ability to lead in transformation efforts specific to the role and the broader finance organization.

 

What you will be responsible for in this role:

  • Manage both onshore and offshore personnel/resources in fulfilling the deliverables and expectations of this position
  • Partner with the Global VP sales, along with Regional Sales VP’s, to evaluate & drive customer revenue opportunities, manage commercial risks, etc.
  • Lead in transformation efforts specific to the role, team, and the broader finance organization
  • Develop rhythm, metrics, tools, and resources to report and forecast revenues by customers and product segments
  • Provide leadership with visibility to daily sales, order, backlog levels and forecasts
  • Analyze revenue forecast accuracy and drive accountability
  • Support the design, accuracy, implementation & usage/maintenance of new Business Intelligence and forecasting tools, inclusive of Atlas (SIOP), Salesforce, Oracle BI, PowerBI and Hyperion
  • Lead finance partner on roll out of SIOP process
  • Understand sales performance vs. expectations and industry trends
  • Support sales bonus & incentive planning; partner with accounting organization on commission and bonus accrual guidance and tracking
  • Provide enterprise bid support & strategic pricing leadership in multi-product line customer revenue opportunities
  • Review and provide guidance on commercial agreements
  • Develop pricing DOA’s and processes
  • Oversee multi-million-dollar commodity surcharge program across US MFG divisions
  • Support divisional pricing team execution with reporting & ad hoc analysis

 

What are the basic qualifications?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in either Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration
  • 7+ years’ experience in a financial leadership role, with preference in a manufacturing environment
