Job Title: IT Project Manager
Location: Conyers, GA
What we are looking for:
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team. As a Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing IT Project, ensuring the project is completed on time and within the approved budget, and to the highest quality standards. Manage Information Technology project consisting of cross-functional teams involving multiple IT disciplines and areas including contract resources. You will lead Project team through Business case/funding approval process, initiation, execution and project closure.
This position will work closely with Dover DFR IT, Business, internal and external business partners.
What you will be responsible for in this role:
- Lead project from planning to completion through project life cycle
- Determine and define project scope and objectives
- Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
- Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
- Track project costs in order to meet budget
- Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
- Act as primary interface regarding deliverables, changes, and sign-off on status and requirements
- Maintain visibility and facilitate timely discussions and decisions for project risks & issues
- Manage deliverables with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
- Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed
- Risk and Stakeholder management.
- Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders
- Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
- Lead meetings between stakeholders, resources, and manager
- Facilitate communication across teams and communicate updates to the leadership and project sponsors
- Ensure project requirements are met, the scope is managed, and milestones deliverables are met
- Conduct various reviews and sign/off workshops
What are the basic qualifications?
- Bachelor’s Degree required in the field of, Computer science, Engineering in Information technology, Statistics, Mathematics or Business.
- 4+ years of Project Management experience and usage of tools like MS Project, SmartSheet, JIRA etc.
Preferred qualifications
- Master of Business Administration in Information Technology
- Experience in managing complex Information Technology projects and familiar with multiple technologies and platforms used to transform Business processes.
- Familiar with Waterfall and Agile SDLC methodologies.
- Ability to work within cross functional, multiple locations and time zones.
- Effective executor and find ways to get things done.
- ERP (Oracle/SAP/Infor Visual/Syteline) Project implementation experience
- Project Management Professional/Agile Scrum Master certified.
- A commitment to continuous learning
