Job Title:        IoT and Engineering Data Manager            

Location:        Conyers, GA             

 

 

What we’re looking for:

 

We are looking for an IoT and Engineering Data Manager to lead the team and improve and launch new engineering and IoT tools.  We have built a team which now has the capability to take on larger projects with more importance to the long term strategy of the business and we need someone with the right mix of engineering, IoT, and real world software integration experience to organize and lead. This person must be able to go as deep as writing their own .Net programs, and then be able present and communicate in a concise manner to the senior leaders of the organization.

 

There are three primary functions of this role: (1) To lead, develop, and influence a location-dispersed team. (2) To manage engineering data for product configurations and the software which maintains that data. (3) To manage IoT tools and data systems which interface with the controls on the products we produce.

 

What you’ll be responsible for in this role:

 

  • Lead and manage a team of 5-15 developers and configuration data engineers at multiple domestic and international sites
  • Write, maintain, and execute the software and infrastructure maturation plan
  • Partner with the Controls Manager to standardize and improve integration of all existing IoT platforms
  • Integrate the corporate IoT platform into our engineering and product offerings
  • Lead and conduct configuration data analysis for use by engineering to rationalize our product offerings
  • Manage a team who maintains engineering configurator data for accuracy and usefulness
  • Manage and improve ticketing workload for multiple sites
  • Manage cross functional demands for legacy support against growth and change management needs of the organization
  • Execute on the transition of a major legacy engineering system from Gupta to .Net as strategically needed and off the shelf software, such as Enovia, where possible.
  • Work closely with Application Engineering to improve product configuration tools for use by inside sales

What are the basic qualifications?

 

  • Bachelor of Science Engineering/Technical Degree in Computer Science, Electronics or Controls is required.
  • 10 years of progressive relevant technical engineering experience
  • 5-10 years of experience with IoT and launching enterprise software
  • 5+ years of proven team leadership/management experience

 

To be a great fit for the role: 

 

  • Previous international project or team leadership experience is a must
  • Previous experience with IoT and launching enterprise software is a must
  • Previous management experience is a must
  • Willing to travel domestically up to 20% when company workload requires (usually home on weekends)
