Job Title:        Regional Vice President Sales - East

What we are looking for:

 

We are looking for a Regional Vice-President (RVP) who will be responsible for achieving growth and sales targets by passionately promoting the company brand and products to food retailers, convenience stores, drug stores and dollar stores. The RVP will manage a team of sales professionals, Dealers and sales representative groups who call on Retailers and Contractors in the retail food industry space. The RVP will successfully expand the customer base and create strong customer relationships by developing a strategic sales plan and executing that plan with the sales team. The RVP will successfully and profitability satisfying customer needs and demonstrating expertise in a leading the sales team on how to best to apply all Dover Food Retail products to the industry.  

 

The candidate must have excellent communication, customer and interpersonal skills. The individual should have experience in dealing with individuals at multiple levels of the organization. Key to success in the position is the ability to develop a strategic sales plan, execute a tactical approach to achieving sales goals by combining product knowledge and marketing resources.  The individual is responsible for an accurate sales forecast, profit expansion and revenue growth.

 

What you will be responsible for in this role:

 

  • Build a strategic sales plan for the region that executes an annual revenue goal.
  • Develop and lead a team of sales professionals who can execute the strategic sales plan
  • Manage and direct factory resources and service in support of contracted rep groups and dealers
  • Conduct sales calls with the sales team who are assigned accounts as well as prospective customers to explain the products and services that our company offers
  • Working with the sales team help qualify account needs while identifying key mobilizers within a retailer’s organization. Train and mentor the sales team to effectively and profitably grow revenue
  • Create and close sales
  • Establish a commitment to forecasting business revenue on a month, quarter and annual basis
  • You will help train and mentor the team as they work with customers and handle price objections, negotiations, preparation of bids and aftermarket support to strengthen the relationship
  • Model a collaborative atmosphere with our customer base that seeks to solve complex problems
  • Record, update, and analyze account information to identify sales strategies and objectives
  • Gather information on emerging trends within our industry from various sources and applying that knowledge as you work with our product management leaders
  • Continually be aware of the expectations and needs of our customers and suppliers
  • 60% travel anticipated to spend in front of customers
  • Meet with Customers, Prospects, and Suppliers at their facilities on scheduled and unscheduled basis
  • In a functional organization ensure you develop key peer relationships across the enterprise

 

What are the basic qualifications?

 

  • Bachelor's degree required in Engineering, Business Administration or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience and responsibilities in sales and sales leadership. Experience must include technical sales experience in a refrigeration/HVAC or heavy engineered to order industry related environment.

 

What are the preferred qualifications?

 

  • M.B.A or advanced leadership/business programs encouraged

  • Individual must collaborate and establish strong working relationships with customers, contractors, field service, industry peers and others as needed
