Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Conyers, GA
What we’re looking for:
We are looking for a Senior Accountant that will focus on general ledger accounting, internal financial statements, and controls policies. In addition to reviewing records for accuracy, the Senior Accountant will have the opportunity to recommend and implement improvements in collaboration with the divisional and corporate controllership and FP&A teams. The Senior Accountant will also be part of a benchmark close cycle (month / quarter / year-end), with specific responsibilities around account reconciliations and auditing.
What you’ll be responsible for in this role:
- Assist in the creation and distribution of monthly close deliverables and supporting schedules.
- Prepare month-end journal entries with required back up as well as prepare and maintain accurate and timely accrual accounts.
- Works with other affiliated locations to ensure timely and accurate intercompany transactions are recorded.
- Support AR and AP accounting functions.
- Investigate and resolve accounting issues when they arise.
- Serve as lead Finance representative on various projects, collaborating and engaging with cross functional teams
- Evaluate business changes to implement updated controls or process improvement
- Participate in providing schedules, data, and information to auditors for the Sarbanes- Oxley and financial audits.
- Prepare monthly reconciliations, ensuring accuracy in reporting and ledger maintenance.
- Other duties and various ad hoc reports and analysis or needed.
What are the basic qualifications?
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 5+ years of general ledger accounting or public accounting audit experience
What are the preferred qualifications?
- Oracle experience
- CPA or CPA candidate
- Advanced skills in Power Query, Power BI, Access, Oracle, or SQL
- Possess a good understanding of US GAAP
- Advanced user of Microsoft Office software
