SUMMARY: 

 

Assembles, installs and repairs sheet metal products, parts and equipment.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

• Assembles panel boxes, exhaust fans, house doors, damper hoods and makes pan rings according to job order

• Smooths burred surfaces with files and grinders

• Lay and attach metal or wood flooring and/or covering

• Apply primer, paint, varnish and caulk as needed

• Perform close up requirements

• Other duties as assigned

 

 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

 

• Ability to understand structural drawings

• Understanding of 6S

• Basic math skills

• Basic reading/writing skills

• Knowledge of basic hand tools

• Ability to read/understand a tape measure

• Ability to use a paintbrush

• Ability to operate air assisted paint gun

• Knowledge of different types of flooring/wood

• Knowledge and understanding of metal types and gauging

• Ability to utilize pneumatic/hydraulic hand tools

• Ability to operate a forklift

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds

 

 

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

 

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three to six months related experience and/or training.
