Job Summary:

The Metcal Product Manager will have responsibilities for managing the existing portfolio as well as driving strategy for growth, building the long-term product roadmap and executing new product introductions.  The successful candidate will have a strong background in product management, new product development and strategy with a track record for growth and developing new markets.  

 

Job Duties:

  • Manage and grow sales of the Metcal portfolio of benchtop soldering and rework solutions.
  • Understand the worldwide market for benchtop soldering & rework through research and customer VOC.
  • Build customer segmentation based on customer needs, behaviors, industries and applications.
  • Create and maintain a product roadmap with differentiated, value-added products for the portfolio.
  • Build Opportunity Assessments including market requirements and product requirements.
  • Work cross functionally with Engineering, Sales and Operations teams to drive product development.
  • Develop product business plans including market strategies, positioning, competitive analysis, value proposition, pricing, ROI, and forecasting.
  • Work closely with sales and marketing to create launch plans for new product releases.
  • Train Global Sales and Support teams as well as Channel Partners.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Work Experience Requirements:

The successful candidate will have the following work experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of proven product management and business development experience with an emphasis on B2B products for electronics manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of strategic marketing skills including VOC, segmentation, pricing and competitive analysis.
  • Demonstrated success of consistent sales and margin growth and developing new markets.
  • Development and launch execution of new products.
  • Experience managing a global brand.

Skills and Education Required: 

The candidate should also possess the following skills, knowledge and abilities:

  • Strong teamwork and cross functional leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills having a high comfort level interacting with senior management, channel partners and customers; both written and verbal.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Demonstrated project management experience.
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Major in Engineering is preferred.
  • An MBA is preferred.

Work Arrangement : Onsite  

Salary Range : $100,000.00   - $115,000.00
