Job Summary:

The Metcal Senior Product Manager will have global responsibilities for managing the Metcal product portfolio, driving strategy for growth, building the long-term product roadmap and executing new product introductions. The successful candidate will have a strong background in product management, new product development and product strategy with a track record for growth and developing new markets.

Job Duties:
|
• Manage and grow sales of the Metcal portfolio of benchtop soldering and rework solutions
• Understand the worldwide market for benchtop soldering & rework through research and interaction with sales, channel and customers • Understand market needs, and utilize segmentation to develop solutions which offer segment specific value • Execute voice of customer interviews to increase knowledge of the market and new product developments • Manage pricing of current portfolio and new products • Create and maintain a product roadmap with differentiated, value-added products for the portfolio • Build Opportunity Assessments including market requirements and product requirements • Be the expert of competitive product offerings, strategies and placement in the market • Work cross functionally with Engineering, Sales and Operations teams to drive product development • Develop product business plans and long-term strategy for portfolio growth • Execute successful launch plans, product training and marketing to ensure sales objectives for the Metcal portfolio • Train Global Sales and Support teams as well as Channel Partners • Performs other duties as assigned |
Work Experience Requirements:

The successful candidate will have the following work experience:
• Minimum 7 years of proven product management experience with an emphasis on B2B products • Strong understanding and ability to show execution of Voice of Customer, segmentation, pricing and competitive analysis • Demonstrated success of consistent sales and margin growth • Experience developing new products from concept to post launch success • Past development of product roadmaps with success of launching on time |
Skills and Education Required: |
The candidate should also possess the following skills, knowledge and abilities:
• Strong teamwork and cross functional leadership skills, especially with Engineering, Sales and Operations • Knowledge of phase gate processes • Excellent communication and presentation skills • High comfort level interacting and communicating with senior management, channel partners and customers • Strong financial acumen • Demonstrated project management experience • Bachelor’s degree is required. • Major in Engineering is preferred. • An MBA is preferred |
Work Arrangement : Onsite
Salary Range : $110,000.00 - $130,000.00
