Summary:

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for leading an account management sales team in our Midwest/Gulf Coast Region.  This role will have direct responsibility for the sales, service and relationship building Dover Precision Components/Cook Compression aftermarket business. The RSM will work closely with other functional areas of the business along with coordinating sales efforts with operations and Mechanical Field Services across the region’s direct sales resources. This position will report directly to the Director of Sales/US Aftermarket.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and foster professional relationships with key customers in the region within Midstream, Gas Gathering, Chemical, Petrochemical and Refining plants
  • Demonstrate initiative to generate new sales and business opportunities
  • Effectively promote the value proposition to the sales team as well as a salesforce effectiveness message to new and existing customers
  • Responsible for managing monthly market and competitive reports outlining the market dynamic changes, personnel changes within sales, and rolling out the region’s sales operation rhythm.
    • Establish sales funnel, promotional programs, new business development targets along with a complete monthly sales review
    • Direct Account engagement may be required with the intent of adding to the sales team’s opportunity funnel
  • Responsible for identifying and growing sales within the region and targeting additional market share by developing new accounts within the region.

 

Skills:

  • Excellent computer skills; proficient in all Microsoft Office Products
  • Ability to prepare documents and presentations to all levels of management
  • Be able to travel 50% within the region and as needed to other regions
  • Work and communicate effectively within a high-performance culture
  • Present himself/herself in a professional manner to represent the company well.

 

 

Education/Experience:

  • BA or BS in Engineering, Management, Business or related field, or equivalent years of experience
  • 7+ years of sales account management and/or sales management roles
  • 5+ years of gas compression experience preferred
  • Must live or be willing to relocate to the Midwest/Gulf Coast region
