Maintenance Manager

Major Responsibilities/Activities (List in order of importance the essential functions of the job):

  • Perform, oversee and manage the maintenance operations of both facilities.
  • Develop and implement maintenance procedures and ensure they are followed.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify areas for improvement and address any maintenance issues.
  • Coordinate with external contractors on projects or repairs.
  • Maintain inventory of equipment, tools, and supplies needed for maintenance tasks.
  • Oversee the Maintenance of building management and phone systems.
  • Oversee fire and emergency systems (sprinklers, extinguishers, and emergency lights).
  • Follow all safety and PPE requirements per established company policies.
  • Maintain a neat and clean work area.
  • Review and approve facility related invoices.
  • Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Responsible for installation or repair of Electrical/HVAC Systems.
  • Ensure that housekeeping standards are maintained throughout facilities.

Education Requirements (Indicate both the minimum and preferred levels of education required.  For academic degrees, write in field of preference, if any):

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

 

Experience Requirements (Indicate relevant experience required as well as any special knowledge or skills required for the job):

  • Computer proficiency in a Windows environment is required, preferably with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in the area of electrical, plumbing, pneumatics, and hydraulics are required.
  • General carpentry skills are preferred.
  • Mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills are required.
  • Welding skills are preferred.
  • Well-developed organizational skills are required; must possess the ability to effectively prioritize projects.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

 

Quality Responsibilities:

  • Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, process and quality systems.
  • Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process and quality system.

 

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to normal office conditions and usual office equipment like telephone, personal computer, reports and files.  The employee will also be exposed to normal conditions of a manufacturing facility.   The employee will be regularly required to sit and talk or hear.  The employee will be required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and climb or balance and reach with hands and arms.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.  The employee will frequently lift, carry or otherwise move and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 70 pounds.  When working on machinery, employee will bend, stoop and crouch on a regular basis and constantly move about to coordinate work.  The employee is required to regularly set up, adjust, assemble, control, test and operate machinery.
