In this role you’ll be responsible for aligning with the company’s key strategies, maximize value to the customers, and increasing the company’s revenue by exceeding sales objectives within an assigned territory.


You’ll have an opportunity to use the Markem-Imaje proven sales process to manage a territory in collaboration with Strategic Account Managers, Consulting and Integration Services Managers, and After-Market Sales Specialists to deliver value to our customers.


In this critical role you will need to:

  • Be the lead point of contact for all matters specific to accounts in defined territory.
  • Develop a business plan to effectively penetrate and cover assigned accounts within defined territory.
  • Build and maintain long-lasting business relationships with Operations, Maintenance, Purchasing, Engineering and IT.
  • Learn and implement “Markem-Imaje Sales Process” including all procedures and policies.
  • Manage existing customer accounts. Grow defined territory in revenue and market share.  Exceed territory sales targets.
  • Prospect for new customers and generate new opportunities.
  • Interact with the Technical Services team on product installations, preventative maintenance, sample analysis, and project management.
  • Provide feedback to Product & Marketing teams for product enhancements.



  • B.A. or B.S. degree – prefer Business Administration, Marketing, Management & Leadership, Professional Sales, or Engineering.
  • 5+ years successfully selling to industrial/manufacturing customers.
  • Mechanical aptitude to understand packaging automation and company product.
  • Effective verbal communication skills (in-person, conference calls, presentations) and business writing proficiency (transactional – emails; informational - call reports, meeting minutes; persuasive - customer proposals).
  • Strong understanding of CRM (such as SalesForce.com) and MS Office applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
  • Experience in forecasting territory revenue on a weekly basis.
  • Must be able to perform in a fast-paced environment and effectively handle competing

          priorities and timelines.

  • Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites and other company locations
