Overview:

  • Performs moderately complex customer support activities on gas compression and rotating equipment inside customer plants and in the field under general direction from Field supervisor or Field Manager. Acts as a technical resource/mentor for more complex issues in assigned location.

 

Requirements:

  • Demonstrates advanced maintenance, repair and other activities on multiple OEM compression/rotating equipment and drivers
  • Using established company guidelines, performs on-site installation, preventative maintenance, extensive repair with no assistance
  • Leads a team performing Daily Maintenance (DM), Major Maintenance (MM), Overhaul & Preventive Maintenance (PM) to established standards with limited to no assistance
  • Serves as Field Supervisor contact on technical and service related problems. May instruct less experienced mechanics in proper use and operation of equipment and also direct and assist less experienced mechanics
  • Refers most complex problems to supervisor or field manager
  • Demonstrates proficiency in order to perform quality, efficient work with minimal call backs
  • Model established health, safety and environmental procedures
  • Demonstrates customer service skills
  • Read, write and speak English (work orders, manuals, drawings, etc.)
  • Uses basic computer skills, including Internet Explorer and Outlook
  • Completes and submits company required documentation in an accurate and timely fashion on a regular basis

 

Knowledge:

  • Thorough knowledge of gas compression/drivers/rotating operational systems through advanced training or performance verification
  • Working knowledge of relevant HSE procedures and regulations
  • Knowledge of company maintenance standards checklist and ability to accurately and completely follow

 

Minimum Education and Certification:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record
  • Gas or diesel engine and compressor basics training certification (Ariel, DR, GE Cameron, Cook Compression Basics 101, etc.) required

Minimum Experience:

  • 4 or more years of demonstrated gas compression & mechanical experience
  • Demonstrated history of successful and safe service experience
