The Dover Climate & Sustainability Technologies / Dover Engineered Products Segments FP&A Manager will serve as a key member of the segment team and is responsible for the global financial planning and analysis activities and processes.  The FP&A Manager must possess excellent communication and process improvement skills, as well as the initiative to proactively develop internal partnerships across all levels of the organization.  The candidate should have a strong FP&A background, ideally in a manufacturing company and demonstrated knowledge of financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis. 

This role is positioned for and has had a proven track record of being promoted into Business Unit Finance Roles within Dover.




Essential Responsibilities:

  • Champions the Dover processes, requirements, and inputs for the Dover Financial Planning system including, the annual AOP and strategic plan, monthly & quarterly forecasts
  • Serves as a subject matter expert on the Dover Financial Planning system processes and counsels operating company FP&A resources on best practices and troubleshooting
  • Able to strategize, develop, and execute on the creation of effective PowerPoint slides to communicate business results and the forecast to senior management, including the CEO, CFO, and Board of Directors
  • Owns the Dover Climate & Sustainability Technologies / Dover Engineered Products segment budgets including forecasting costs and providing variance analysis.  Supports the segment level accrual process in coordination with Corporate Accounting
  • Supports the Dover Climate & Sustainability Technologies / Dover Engineered Products segment leadership teams in assessment and communication of business performance, trends, and strategic tradeoffs
  • Able to develop relationships with both financial and non-financial colleagues at both the corporate and operating company level

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • A skilled financial resource with a diverse set of Finance and Accounting experiences.  At least 2 years of pure FP&A experience
  • Positive, driven, and energetic; able to roll-up his/her sleeves to get the job done
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skillset
    • Microsoft Excel - creating dynamic templates to be utilized by global colleagues, layered SUMIF, VLOOKUP formulas, conditional formatting, diagnosing formula errors, etc.
    • Microsoft PowerPoint – Advanced and dynamic charting, dashboards, etc.
  • Advanced experience with dimensional based consolidation software (for example: Essbase, Hyperion Financial Management - HFM, or similar)
  • Must be familiar with financial models and tools used to determine project financial benefits and profitability such as Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and Return on Investment (ROI)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA and/or CPA and/or CMA
  • 5+ years of experience in finance roles with a bias towards quantitative analysis, decision making, and Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Operational Finance experience a plus.  Comfortable in global organization
  • A multi-national, publicly listed company background from an organization with a highly regarded finance team is important
