The Global Director, FP&A serves as a trusted, strategic business partner, providing accurate, timely, and pertinent financial guidance. This is an out-front leadership role in the business that drives company initiatives with nonfinance teams throughout the Company. He/she provides forward looking financial leadership, analysis, and reporting to the CFO and supporting the VSG leadership team. Responsible for developing and implementing robust procedures that create accurate, timely, and relevant financial statements, measurements, forecasts, plans, and business analysis. He/she will coordinate the submission of month end financials and supplemental information from all global operations. Drive a continuous improvement mindset and clear communications. Coach the global financial staff on financial analysis and reporting issues. The Director, FP&A will have exposure to the corporate CEO, CFO and other Dover leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead monthly forecast process, monitor results to meet forecast, implement countermeasures as needed.
- Analyze operations to identify trends in the business; recommend and implement specific corrective actions.
- Provide guidance and assistance to other functional groups as needed.
- Support monthly global/regional SIOP reviews to ensure alignment with financial and strategic objectives.
- Lead development of 3-year Strategic Plan, Annual Operating Plan, and Quarterly Review templates.
- Manage and/or assist with special projects on group wide initiatives, process simplification and VSG specific projects as requested.
- Provide coaching and technical support to global financial staff on financial analysis and reporting.
- Support all acquisition activity, including valuation, due diligence, and post-merger integration.
Education/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance or Accounting MBA, CPA preferred
- Requires 10+ years of experience, preferably within industrial products industry
- Advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of Access, PowerPoint, and Word
- Experienced in large ERP and with consolidation software/tools
- Ability to travel globally up to 25% of time
