SUMMARY:

Dover accelerates profitable growth by constantly identifying and seizing competitive advantages. The candidate will support OpCo finance process improvement expanding shareholder value through the implementation of corporate-wide best practices, innovation, advantaged KPI analysis, dashboard management, working capital optimization. Put simply, this position will be instrumental in Dover’s financial journey to implement world-class finance processes.

 

 

POSITION:

The candidate will be a transformation agent for the implementation of best practices across the corporation. Some responsibilities (but not limited to the following) are: 

  • Act as a resource providing special support in the advancement of best practice implementation across Dover's approximately 18 OpCos.
  • Apply advanced modeling and analytics to support cash flow enhancement
  • Provide insight to management on the use of advanced analytics
  • Assist roll out of corporate wide strategic initiatives
  • Update data bases and dash boards for management
  • Be a roaming asset to support OpCos in implementation of special projects; ~25% travel expected
  • Assist OpCos in becoming more data driven in their business approach
  • Assist recently acquired OpCos to rapidly meet Dover standards and practices
  • Assist in the identification/implementation of RPA, AI and Machine Learning opportunities

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS—FIRST 18 MONTHS

An appreciation of the Dover culture is vital. Dover is focused on its’ customers with decisions made as close to the customer as possible. For this reason, nothing is advanced unless the OpCo supports and implements an initiative, as the OpCo owns each customer relationship. The Manager, Finance Process Improvement is a position of influence where Dover best practices are shared with the OpCo. The candidate must appreciate that the job is not only to implement a program, but also to help the OpCo understand why the program is in the best interest of their customers and team, and ultimately Dover’s shareholders.   Key accomplishments will include:

 

  • Build and update data bases resulting in dashboards to support business objectives
  • Assist in the development of RPA, AI and Machine Learning capability in Dover
  • Provide insight to management as to best practice activities in KPI development
  • Provide support to OpCos in corporate best practice implementation
  • Support OpCos as an additional resource for special projects

 

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

  • Education: Bachelor of Arts or Sciences in relevant field. An advanced degree or higher is preferred
  • Specialized knowledge: STEM or Business Administration
  • Skills: Math, Statistics, Computer Modeling, Finance, Data Science
  • Abilities: Should have the ability to present and explain complex analysis to various levels of the organization, as well as help team members understand why change is beneficial
  • Other characteristics such as personal characteristics: Should be able to create positive relationships and have strong influencing skills to help implement change.  It will be key for the candidate to demonstrate appreciation of the OpCos current situation and be able to provide support for the OpCo while painting the vision that will allow the OpCo to reach its’ full potential.
  • Experience 5 -10 years of business experience, including consultative skills, project management experience and change management experience.
