The Senior Accountant of Corporate Accounting reports to the Manager of Corporate Accounting and works closely with the Dover Business Services/Center of Excellence team in the Philippines, various departments within the Corporate office (i.e. Human Resources, Financial Planning & Analysis, Legal, SEC Reporting, Tax), and the Operating Companies. The role provides visibility to Dover’s Corporate Controller and Assistant Controllers and opportunities to lead other expanded roles of increasing responsibility within the organization.




  • Prepare and analyze journal entries to the general ledger, ensuring data integrity as well as complete and accurate reporting.
  • Complete balance sheet account reconciliations within established timelines to ensure complete and accurate reporting.
  • Leverage emerging technologies (i.e. robotic process automation) to identify and implement process improvements within the Controllership and broader organization.
  • Direct collaboration with the Digital FP&A team to understand digital projects and related accounting  for software and cloud assets.
  • Work with and provide coaching to accountants on the corporate accounting team in the Philippines, with potential opportunities to review/oversee their work.
  • Maintain complete and accurate fixed asset subledger records (i.e. additions, disposals, monthly depreciation) and ensure the subledger reconciles to the general ledger.
  • Facilitate timely and accurate intercompany charges between Dover Corporate and the Operating Companies through preparation of the monthly intercompany confirmations; correspond directly with the Operating Company Controllers and Accounting teams to resolve questions and out of balances.
  • Ensure complete and accurate reporting of the Company’s insurance programs, including recording the monthly journal entries, performing flux analyses, preparing monthly reporting packages, and corresponding directly with third party vendors.
  • Prepare quarterly reporting deliverables, including flux analyses, footnote schedules, and supplemental schedules.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects with SEC Reporting, Corporate departments, and Operating Companies
  • Provide support to the Accounts Payable department by answering their questions on items such as GL coding of invoices and preparing a monthly accrual for AP invoices submitted but not yet recorded.
  • Significant communication and interaction with other corporate departments (i.e. Legal, Human Resources, FP&A, Tax) and the Operating Companies, including recording of entries, resolution of issues, and sharing of best practices.
  • Ensure appropriate internal controls are in place and operating effectively.
  • Interface with auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audit including preparing schedules and spreadsheets and walkthrough of controls.

Fully qualified candidates will possess the following attributes:


  • Experience (3+ years)
  • Undergraduate accounting degree required
  • CPA and large public accounting experience preferred
  • Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting and analysis, and SOX compliance
  • Excellent communication skills and professionalism required as position requires a significant amount of interaction with Corporate, Segment, and Operating Company management
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and leverage effective relationships across the organization to achieve goals and objectives
  • Energetic, self-starter that has a “hands on” approach and strong focus on continuous improvement initiatives
  • Curious mindset and desire to work directly with other departments to pragmatically resolve issues and questions
  • Motivated by and thrives in a fast-paced environment with frequent ad hoc requests and changing priorities
  • Microsoft Office skills, primarily Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Experience in Oracle, Sage, and account reconciliation software a plus
