Position Summary:

The Talent Development Program Manager is responsible for creating and facilitating talent development programs across the Dover enterprise to ensure a high performing, highly engaged, and diverse workforce with the right capabilities to improve performance and deliver on the company’s growth strategy. The Talent Development Program Manager will achieve this by working in partnership with Business Leaders, HR Business Partners, and members of the Talent COE to deliver programs to address workforce talent needs and capabilities of leaders at multiple levels in the organization.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage and support all aspects of our early / mid-career talent rotational programs (Dover Consultants, IT and Supply Chain) and corporate interns for various functions including program design, recruiting activity coordination, administration of rotational assignments, ongoing employee development, and administration of policies and procedures pertaining to the programs.
  • Partner with leaders to secure the placement of rotation program graduates.
  • Manage the branding and communications of the rotation programs internally and externally to support recruiting efforts with various universities.
  • Oversee the recruiting and selection process for the program(s) including candidate evaluation, interviews, and extending offers to final candidates.

 

 

  • Drive continued communication and community engagement among rotation program graduates.
  • Responsible for leadership application (LEAP) programming based upon identified needs across the organization, source appropriate training partners, drive program awareness and manage program logistics (nomination, registration, survey administration, etc.); continually evaluate courses and make adjustments to drive effective programming.
  • Measure and report the effectiveness of programs and drive continuous improvement.

 

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • 6+ years’ experience in progressive leadership development, learning and development and/or talent and OD roles working in dynamic organizations with contemporary practices
  • Undergraduate degree in human resource management, curriculum design, leadership development, organizational psychology, business, or related field is essential.
  • Knowledge of leadership development strategies and current methodologies.
  • Proven experience in training and team facilitation, training program design.
  • Demonstrated ability to create content, training activities, schedule, and lead dry runs with limited oversight.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage one’s deliverables and timelines, while having excellent communication skills, asking for assistance, and notifying the team of problems/issues early.
  • Deep talent expertise combined with hands on experience and demonstrated ability to translate the theoretical and deliver practical and relevant solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with stakeholders across diverse regions and at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects.
