In Germany PSG operates two businesses. The PSG Germany GmbH in Duisburg and em-tec GmbH in Finning. The Duisburg facility is the production location for 4 brands/product lines, Almatec, Hydro, Quattroflow and Quantex. The Almatec brand is a specialized AODD (air-operated double-diaphragm) pumps used largely used for specialty applications, Hydro is a world leader in chemical dispensing solutions, Quattroflow is a world leader in pumping solutions for the biopharma industry offering a unique quaternary (four-piston) diaphragm pumps specifically designed for critical applications. The technology mimics the human heart which is perfect model for the safe, reliable and efficient transfer of biological materials.
Quantex is a recent acquisition and addition to the PSG and offers a unique single use pump technology which further expands PSG’s reach into biopharma and other hygienic applications. Quantex pumps have 128 global patents with over 100 granted. They are highly unique because they are designed to be a part of the disposable liquid pack and can either replace the usual closure fitting on a liquid product pack or be part of an in-line giving set.
Position Overview:
The Product Manager (f/m/d) Quantex is responsible for their respective product portfolio throughout the product life cycle, from planning to execution and in alignment with the corporate strategy.
Responsibilities / tasks:
Key responsibilities include developing a comprehensive product strategy, supporting the global sales organisation and coordinating new product development. In addition:
- VOC: Identify market needs, trends, customer satisfaction and buying behaviour through regular customer contact and voice-of-customer studies or surveys.
- P&L: Regular analysis of profitability at product level; deriving cost saving or price adjustment initiatives as needed.
- Pricing: Develop pricing strategy for existing and new products, taking into account competitive products and the market situation.
- Product portfolio: Develop or expand the product portfolio to support global distribution strategies.
- NPD: Development of new product ideas based on VOC's and sales feedback. Definition of product requirements, sales forecasts, target costs and sales prices. Creating and updating the product roadmap and coordinating NPD projects as part of the stage-gate process.
- Growth plans: Preparation of short and long-term strategic plans (1-5 years) including product strategy, product roadmap and overall growth plan.
- Sales forecasts: preparation of sales forecasts for new and existing products; execution of the S&OP call for the Sales&Operations Plan
- Sales and product support: supporting customers, sales and distributors with information, application knowledge and product data
- Marketing: Working with the marketing team to support and implement marketing activities and initiatives. Participation and presence at trade fair events.
- Training: organising and conducting product training for customers and distributors.
- Support in the definition and description of the processes within the scope of duties.
- Technical and personal development of the employees authorised to give instructions
- Support in further strategic projects and other tasks as instructed
Qualifications:
- Successfully completed technical studies
- Relevant professional experience in Product Management or Technical Sales - ideally in a comparable field of activity
- Knowledge of an ERP system
- Fluent English and German
- High sales and marketing affinity and a keen sense of market and customer needs
- Independent, self-reliant and self-motivated way of working.
