Lead Business Engineer

Drive business by supporting the Sales organization and our customers in advanced technical and commercial tasks.

Duties: 

  • Interact with customers at all levels and work in partnership to translate needs into functional actions.
  • Maintain the data and information stored in the SWEP CRM system, logging activities and updating records.
  • Execute product selection and quoting in SWEP’s Sales Process from receiving RFQ to order completion, to selecting appropriate product, to providing a quote and order completion.  Set price according to clear guidelines, discounts and price lists. When applicable and in agreement with sales representative set price levels independently
  • Commercial and advanced technical support for all types of SWEP customers (including Strategic and Key Accounts) and internally, such as selections optimized from both technical and commercial aspects, thermodynamic calculations, customizing and claim processes, pricelists and quoting.  Independently managing more complex requests such as 2-phase calculations, advanced customizing and claim trouble shooting
  • Provide SSP G8 (selection software) internal and external training and actively driving its integration into customer’s software as well as supporting troubleshooting issues.
  • Evaluation of requests for material specifications and certification: Lead and drive the admin work to ensure the information is provided. Check and verify that the requirements are met.
  • Lead quality audits and support during Customers' visits at SWEP factories by organizing meetings, preparing agenda, collecting data in preparation for audits and negotiations.
  • Coordination of stock setups (SMI, VMI consignment stock solution), preparation of new items/solutions, calculations of profitability and stock turns
  • Self-driven customer/market mapping and research: Analyze customer structure and product portfolio in defined area, searching for new opportunities in addressable market space, consolidate and provide relevant commercial information.
  • Participate on SWEP internal projects, and projects related to dedicated customers such as setting up new supply chain links, early R&D teams’ cooperation, new product developments, specific executions and options, third party suppliers’ coordination and joint ventures. Acting as a project leader when applicable and required.
  • Participate in phase in/out of products by collecting data: such as sales data, comparison analysis, set up alternative configurations, obtaining customer approvals. Implement the setup of new products to dedicated customers.
  • Participate and drive the financial analysis for strategic planning and business opportunities evaluation. Compile data and participate in the build-up of SWEP unique value proposition. Prepare supporting information and proposals for value-based selling strategies.
  • Creation of customer specific pricelists based on negotiations, support the maintenance of such pricelists.
  • Responsible for field failure reporting. Follow-up on the claim process (for your customers/claims)
  • Provide trainings in own field of expertise.
  • Act as SWEP representative at customers, exhibitions, conferences, seminars, and relevant events.
  • Keep up to date with new trends and technology developments in the market to continuously maintain and grow your business acumen and knowledge

Education: 

  • Bachelors Degree, Bachelors Degree in Engineering is preferred
