Position Summary:

DFS is seeking to hire a Sr Manager, Information Technology to lead the activities of Dover’s Information Technology team at our Dundee, UK location.  In this role, you will analyze our current systems and assets, recommend, and implement solutions and upgrades, and provide training. The ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of supply chain & manufacturing environments, experience managing staff, and advanced industry knowledge to keep us on the cutting edge. From day one, you’ll have an immediate impact on the day-to-day efficiency of our IT operations, and an ongoing impact on our overall growth.



  • Maintains organization’s effectiveness and efficiency by defining and delivering strategic plans for implementing information technologies
  • Initiates, coordinates, and enforces systems, policies, procedures, and organizational standards
  • Manages a team of information technology professionals supporting the location
  • Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
  • Communicates with parties external to the organization (e.g., customers, vendors, suppliers, etc.)
  • Directs technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects
  • Completes projects by coordinating resources and timetables with user departments and data center
  • Verifies application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented
  • Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
  • Champion continuous improvement efforts

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience leading high performing teams
  • Manufacturing / Supply Chain experience
  • Experience implementing ERP software, preferably Oracle, Microsoft BC or comparable
  • Optional product or system certification
