Machining Workflow Coordinator

Main position objectives

The Machine Shop Workflow Coordinator provides support in scheduling, shop floor engineering packet processing, communicating schedule status and changes to internal & external customers, and materials management for the Maag family of equipment to include: die plates and die plate related items.  Working independently but supported by others, the incumbent is the workflow coordinator for the die plate machine shop

Position description – Tasks, responsibilities, competencies

  • Monitor the die plate manufacturing schedule, assuring individual orders stay on track for on-time delivery
  • Work with the Die Plate Manager & Lead CNC Programmer to define tooling needs and source tooling as required
  • Following up on status of purchase orders for materials and outside services to maintain on-time delivery of finished die plate products
  • Work constructively with the entire Die Plate Team in suggesting / implementing improvements to workflow, processes, & technical documentation
  • Assist in Continuous Improvement efforts with the Die Plate Team
  • Other tasks as assigned

Work Environment

Work in this position is in an office and a factory floor environment, either locally or at a customer site.  While performing the duties of this job in a factory setting, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud and PPE may be required.
