Engineering Intern

Summary:

This internship opportunity will be working with our Engineering Team on current business projects and located at our Jeffersonville, Indiana plant. 

 

The primary objective of the project is to drive improvements to our product performance by better quantifying the impact of several critical-to-quality variables.  This will be achieved by the duties and responsibilities below.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Conducting regular sampling and detailed measurements of standard products from manufacturing.
    • Using 3D optical scanner to create measurement programs and collect detailed product data.
    • Conducting performance testing on product and correlate the results with collected measurement data.
    • Documenting findings in technical reports and make recommendations backed by data.
    • Working within a team environment

 

Skills needed:

    • Microsoft Excel for organization and presentation of large amounts of data
    • Understanding of basic metrology
    • 3D CAD modeling – Inventor or Solid Edge

 

Qualifications:

    • Studying mechanical, chemical, industrial, electrical engineering, quality, or statistics. 
    • Individual must have good computer skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
    • With the nature of this work, we will consider an engineering intern who can work part-time and/or full-time during the fall semester.
