POSITION SUMMARY:

The Product Configurator Manager will serve as an integral part of the organization; designing, deploying and maintaining the Sales Product Configurator, including Configure, Price and Quote Functionality. This role requires an individual to work closely with other members of the IT Team as well as Product Management, Sales, Marketing, Engineering and Operations to design and enhance the tool for utilization by the internal sales team and the HEIL and MARATHON Dealer network. This role will also be responsible for supporting necessary integration with the ERP and the CRM and supporting BI and management reporting. The Product Configurator Manager will also have responsibility to manage the relationship with the product vendor and the Configurator team at Environmental Solutions Group.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:

  • Design, deployment and support of the Product Configurator, including core data and process modeling.
  • Provide domain expertise for the organization across the CPQ framework, including integration points, workflow and long-term deployment strategy.
  • Make technical recommendations to management regarding the implementation of new CPQ initiatives and ongoing enhancements.
  • Ensure a high level of quality and consistency for all product configurations.
  • Manage the testing and approval of product configurations across development environments.
  • Work cross-functionally to process changes, structure new products and address issues concerning product configuration.
  • Provide input to project team on schedule, issues and deliverables related to master product data management.
  • Provide support to the business for Configuration Management (CM) or Data Management (DM) requirements.
  • Provide direction to the other members of the configurator team and to the product vendor for support items.
  • Self-starter who works with moderate direction, who can apply CPQ best practices and identify issues/problems and proactively address.

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Prior experience deploying a Product Configurator solution or equivalent experience enhancing an existing implementation.
  • Ability to clearly define and communicate processes and translate requirements to technical solutions.
  • 3 plus years of experience with a Product Configurator/CPQ Toolset.
  • A core understanding of manufacturing and assembly operations.
  • A core understanding of Bills of Material.
  • Foundational ERP knowledge.
  • Capable communicator.
  • Customer oriented approach.
  • Familiarity with Understanding and familiarity of operating systems, networks, and Multi-Tier application architectures in a distributed computing environment.
  • Familiarity with modern software development life cycle (SDLC) practices.
  • Should have functional understanding of the following:
    • ERP – (JDE/NetSuite Preferred but not required)
    • CRM – (SalesForce Preferred but not required)
    • CPQ/Product Configurator – (Configure One Preferred but not required)
