Operating Company: Environmental Solutions Group - Heil Environmental

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Production Control and Logistics Director position is responsible for all material procurement, storage and delivery on site and at 3rd party locations, shipping and receiving.  In addition, they are responsible for overall plant scheduling, forecasting and capacity planning. 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:

  • Oversee scheduling, purchasing, shipping and receiving staff.
  • Responsible for all direct and indirect material purchasing for the Plant.
  • Coordinate internal manufacturing and external supplier activities to meet cost, schedule and performance metrics.
  • Creation and maintenance of plant production schedule.
  • Inventory accuracy including oversight and planning for annual physical inventory.
  • Design and coordinate material movement including receiving, supermarkets, tugger routes, kitting to line.
  • Continuous process improvement within all areas of responsibility.
  • Proficient with ERP systems (JDE a plus).
  • Work on special project assignments as required.
  • Be a leader in our effort of Continuous Improvement as it pertains to Safety, Quality, On-time Delivery and Cost metrics.

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Material Management, Logistics, Supply Chain or any associated field or equivalent level of experience.  MBA is a plus. 
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively build and lead teams and can relate to people at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage several complex projects concurrently.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Excellent lean skills and experience leading change in other environments.
  • Microsoft Office experience required – including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to objectively coach employees through complex and difficult issues.
