POSITION SUMMARY:

Besides having exceptional technical skills, the IT Part time candidate must be a skilled communicator with a professional business vocabulary. The candidate should possess college level writing skills to be active in business correspondence, updating process manuals, and “how to” materials. The candidate must demonstrate some aptitude in deductive reasoning associated with basic problem solving skills. The candidate should be confident in their ability and capable of taking direction to increase their own knowledge base. The candidate should be a self‐starter and flourish in an environment where they require minimal supervision.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:

  1. Configure and deploy PCs, laptops and other hardware.
  2. Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues in a timely manner. 
  3. Fully document assigned issues and resolutions in the help desk software.
  4. Add and/or change network user accounts and passwords.
  5. Assist with E-mail account issues and questions.
  6. Manage user network VPN access.
  7. Other duties as directed.

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  1. Working towards a Bachelor's Degree in IT preferred, or related degree considered as applicable.
  2. Minimum GPA in major of 2.75/4.0.
  3. Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills are essential.
  4. Good application skills of Microsoft Office tools, such as Excel, Word, Outlook etc.
  5. Basic understanding of computer networking and corporate domains.
