POSITION SUMMARY:

Support Manufacturing Engineering and Facilities with project work in support of training development.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:

  1. Support Manufacturing Engineering and Training departments in documenting manufacturing processes for operator training.
  2. Preparation and justification of capital spend projects.
  3. Perform plant/equipment layouts.
  4. Gathering/analyzing data.
  5. Perform process time studies.
  6. Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for production.
  7. Recommend and implement process improvements.
  8. This will NOT be limited to a desk.  Hands-on work in the factory will be required.
  9. Exposure to temperature variations and at times may work in ‘dusty’ environments.  

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  1. Working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Electrical Engineering preferred, or related engineering degree considered as applicable. Minimum 3rd year of studies.
  2. Experience with CAD/Pro-E software.
  3. Some experience with manufacturing processes.
  4. Good application skills of Microsoft Office tools, such as Excel, Word, Outlook etc.
  5. Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills are essential.
