Position Summary: 

To support all material plans in support of the production schedule while coordinating supporting processes that impact material deliveries, data integrity and other factors.  To ensure the proper execution of all material plans in support of the production schedule while coordinating supporting processes that impact material deliveries, data integrity and other factors.  Include understanding of Capacity Requirements Planning (CRP), Shop Floor Control, Sales Order Fulfillment Management and Master Production Scheduling.


Roles and Key Responsibilities:

  1. Execution of the Plan for Every Part (PFEP) and Production schedule material requirements by understanding and reviewing contributing factors such as; schedule, lead time, new product release, special options, etc.  Advise Master Scheduler on capacity requirements and line positions relative to the schedule.

  2. Responsible for the proper execution of Visual Management, Kanban Management, ECO Management and supporting functions such as Non-Conforming Requests (NCR) to satisfy On Time Delivery goals and optimize inventory turns. 

  3. Includes duties of reporting and tracking parts shortages and Red Tags.  Coordinating with MPS, production and supply chain to ensure containment and permanent corrective actions are in place to reduce shortages and Red Tags.

  4. Assist in the correction of Bill of Material (BOM) issues identified by processes used in executing material requirements.

  5. Communicate to Cycle Count Team (Inventory Specialist) of inventory discrepancies identified while executing the materials plan and request Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) research is done.

  6. Involved in the prioritization of hot parts needs with Fabrication and Purchasing to ensure schedule attainment.

  7. Involves lifting up to 40 pounds.



Education:  Requires a High School diploma or GED.

Knowledge: Requires ability to understand general arithmetic; ability to write in an understandable manner; understand verbal or written instructions; ability to read and understand instructions, lists and billing materials; use PC based applications, including Mainstar, Outlook, and Microsoft Office, knowledge normally acquired through high school or equivalent experience.

Mental: Requires normal attention with periods of high concentration intermittently to operate machinery approximately 50% of time.

Physical: Requires walking/standing approximately 70%, lifting up to 40 pounds approximately 15% of time; involves repetitive overhead work approximately 10% of time; involves repetitive stooping, forward bending and crouching approximately 5% of time.

Manual Dexterity: Requires use of hands, arms and feet for repetitive lifting; use of hands and arms to operate all manufacturing equipment, meters, chains hoists, automatic drills and general hand tools and to record written information.

Audible Demands: Requires ability to follow verbal instructions and to hear for safety purposes.

Visual: Requires the ability to visually observe essential functions for satisfactory job performance and safety; color and depth perception required.

Environmental: Involves exposure to plant environments with the presence of dust, fumes, noise, and fluctuating temperatures due to lack of climate control.
